Chocolate protein pudding- dairy free, no added sugar, loaded with healthy fats and protein making this recipe the healthiest chocolate pudding ever! Made with dates, hemp seeds, ground chia seeds, ground flax seeds, vanilla protein powder, cacao powder and non dairy milk. The dates add natural sweetness to this recipe without adding any refined sugar. Since dates are a whole food with the fiber intact, the fiber slows down the absorption of sugar into the bloodstream which makes them an ideal sweetener. The chia seeds add healthy omega 3 fats and also make the pudding extra thick. Make sure you use ground ones to get an extra smooth result. Hemp seeds make the pudding creamy and are also loaded with omega 3’s, magnesium and other minerals. You can use whatever protein powder is your favorite in this recipe!

INGREDIENTS  

  • 5 large pitted medjool dates
  • 3/4 cup vanilla protein powder (make sure you use 1/4 cup plus 1/2 cup to get accurate measurement)
  • 4 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 2 tbsp ground chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp ground flax seeds
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cacao powder
  • 2.5 cups non dairy milk unsweetened soy is my fav, it adds extra protein

INSTRUCTIONS 

  • 1. Add all ingredients to a high powdered blender and blend until completely smooth. Pour into individual size jars and refrigerate until ready to serve!

Ingredients
  

  • 5 large pitted medjool dates
  • 3/4 cup vanilla protein powder measure 1/4 cup and 1/2 cup to get accurate measurement
  • 2 tbsp ground chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp ground flax seeds
  • 4 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cacao powder
  • 2.5 cups non dairy milk unsweetened soy is my fav, it adds extra protein

Instructions
 

  • 1. Add all ingredients to a high powdered blender and blend for 60 seconds until completely smooth and creamy. Pour into individual 6 oz jars and refrigerate at least 30 minutes before serving. Serve cold as a snack, dessert or breakfast topped with fresh berries or whipped cream.

Notes

In place of hemp seeds cashews can also be used.
You can add 1 more or less dates to adjust the sweetness to your liking. If your protein powder is already sweetened then you may not need as many dates. 
I like to use unsweetened soy milk in this recipe as it adds an additional 20 grams of protein to the recipe. Any type of milk works, or you can do half milk half water.
Make sure you use ground chia and flax seeds to get the creamiest result.
