Equipment

  • Blender

Ingredients

  • 1 cup raw cashews could sub raw sunflower seeds
  • 1 cup plain unsweetened plant milk I use TJ's soy milk
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • 1 package French onion dip mix I use the brand Simply Organic
  • 1 tsp Trader Joe's Onion Salt (optional)

Instructions

  • 1. In a high powered blender such as a Vitamix add in the cashews, soy milk and lemon juice. Blend for a couple minutes until completely smooth. If it gets too thick splash in more milk to get it to blend better.
  • 2. Pour blender contents into a mixing bowl. Stir in the French onion dip packet seasoning and additional onion salt if using. Place in fridge and let chill for one hour before serving.
  • 3. Pour dip into serving bowl. Serve with ridged potato chips, cucumber slices, and/or carrot slices.

Notes

If not using a high powered blender, soak cashews overnight in water or for a couple hours to soften them. A Nutribullet or food processor will also work. You can also sub raw sunflower seeds for cashews.
To make your own French Onion Dip seasoning, mix together the following ingredients: 1 tbsp dried onion flakes, 1 tsp onion powder, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp salt
