Orange Creamsicle Smoothie

Ingredients
  

  • 1 large organic orange peeled use 2 for more orange flavor
  • 1 tbsp orange zest organic
  • 1/2 cups frozen mango
  • 1 scoops vanilla protein powder
  • 1/8 cup walnuts about 5 or 6 walnut halves
  • .5 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1 cups water
  • 1 cup ice
  • optional 1 cup leafy greens like bok choy or lettuce

Equipment

  • 1 Blender

Method
 

  1. Blend up all ingredients in a high powered blender until smooth. Serve right away or freeze in silicone ice cube tray for smoothie prep.

Notes

For more orange flavor, use 2 oranges instead of one and 2 tbsp of orange zest. When using orange zest its best to use organic oranges. 
For smoothie meal prep- times all ingredients (EXCEPT ICE) in this recipe by 4, pour into silicone ice cube tray and freeze overnight. To remake smoothie- re blend the smoothie cubes with 1 cup of soy or almond milk. 
Greens are optional for extra nutrition, but they will turn the smoothie green instead of orange! I recommend using baby bok choy leaves or romaine lettuce for mild flavor.
