- 2 frozen bananas
- 3/4 cup black beans drained and rinsed
- 4 pitted dates (I use small ones) or 2 medjool
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp ground flax seeds
- 1 cup soy milk or oat, almond, coconut
- handful of ice cubes about 5-6 cubes
I like to use unsweetened soy milk because it adds 9 grams protein to the drink, but you can use whatever plant milk you like, or use water.
I bought a huge bag of deglet noor dates from Costco so I used 4 small ones in this recipe. If you are using medjool dates then use 2. You can add more if you want it extra sweet.
