Matcha Protein Ice Cream- Dairy Free Creami Recipe

Equipment

  • 1 Ninja Creami see notes for blender version

Ingredients
  

  • 2-3 medjool dates, pitted depending how sweet you want it
  • 8 walnut halves
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder use whatever brand is your favorite
  • 1 pinch vanilla bean powder, or 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp matcha powder
  • 1 1/4 cups soy or almond milk

Instructions
 

  • Add all ingredients to a high power blender and blend til completely smooth.
  • Transfer to Ninja Creami cup and freeze overnight or atleast 8 hours.
  • When ready to make ice cream- remove pint from freezer and run sides under hot water for 1 minute. Place on Ninja Creami lid and blend on "light ice cream" mode. Remove lid and splash in a small amount of milk. Put lid back on and blend again on "light ice cream". Serve right away.

Notes

FOR BLENDER VERSION/ NO NINJA CREAMI:
Blend all ingredients in high powered blender til smooth. Pour mixture into ice cube tray and freeze overnight. The next day pop mixture out of the ice cube tray into a blender with small splash of milk. You may have to stop and scrape down sides of blender multiple times/ splash in more milk as needed. 
Add in 3- 4 dates for extra sweet, do 1 or 2 for less sweet.
